After graduating from the Queen's University of Canada with a Bachelor of Business degree, he was admitted to St. John's University School of Law with a full scholarship and obtained Doctor of Philosophy in Law. In 2010, he was appointed by the United Nations to handle its legal affairs at the United Nations headquarter in Vienna, Austria. As a licensed attorney in both New York and New Jersey, Attorney Gu has worked in a law firm based in the New York City and dealt with legal issues related to immigration, business, and marriage. After that, Attorney Gu joined the largest Chinese immigration law firm in the United States, during which he advised thousands of clients from Asia, Europe and North America with EB-1A (Aliens of Extraordinary Ability), EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver), L-1 & EB-1C (Intra-company Transferees / Managers and Executives Transferees), EB-5 (Immigrant Investor Program) and other feasible plans for immigration to the United States, and helped hundreds of applicants successfully obtaining their U.S. Permanent Residence Card. Attorney Gu has given free lectures on immigration at many distinguished universities in the east of the United States, and was invited by a city in the State of New York to introduce EB-5 (Immigrant Investor Program). Attorney Gu has been practicing immigration law for over 12 years. He is highly respected in the field with over 99% success rate, particularly in EB-1A, NIW, L1, EB-1C, O-1, H1B, E2 and EB-5 cases. Attorney Gu has helped thousands of applicants and families successfully obtain their U.S. Permanent Residence Cards and various Visas.

After graduating from the Queen’s University of Canada with a Bachelor of Business degree, Mr. Gu was admitted to St. John’s University School of Law with a full scholarship in New York City where he earned his Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.). While at law school, he served as the Notes and Publications Editor for the New York Real Property Law Journal and actively participated in various legal programs including, but not limited to, a judicial program with the New York City Civil Court (Housing Part), an externship program with the New York City Police Department – Legal Bureau, an internship program with the Queens District Attorney’s Office.
