- Foreign students need to apply for admission to qualified schools which approved by the Student and Exchange Visitors Program, Immigration & Customs Enforcement
- Foreign students are accepted by the school. Get I-20 from the SEVP institution..(The Form I-20 is a United States Department of Homeland Security, specifically ICE and the Student and Exchange Visitor Program, document issued by SEVP-certified schools that provides supporting information on a student’s F or M status. Since the introduction of the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System run by SEVP, the form also includes the student tracking number and school code. )
- Apply online through the DS-160 form,Pay the application fee and Pay the SEVIS I-901 fee.Schedule your F1 visa interview.
- Prepare F1 visa required documents and attend the student visa interview.
- The student must prove to officer the following three points:
- (a) I have no intention of immigrating to U.S., and the only purpose of going to the United States is to study;
- (b) I have enough money to pay for my study and living expenses in the United States.
- (c) Students whose native language is not English must also provide proof of their English proficiency unless they attend a language school.
- The applicant must prepare the following materials.
- a) Form DS-160 (the online Non-immigrant Visa application that is used by Consular Officers to process the visa application). Children or spouses should prepare a separate form.
- b) A passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond the applicant’s intended period of stay in the United States.
- c) One photograph following these requirements: In color;With a plain white background;Taken within the last 6 months;The photo size should be 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm); The photo should be positioned in a way that the head is between 1 and 1 3/8 inches (22 mm and 35 mm) or 50% and 69% of the image’s total height from the bottom of your chin to the top of the head; Do not wear eyeglasses except for medical reasons.
- d) A SEVIS Form I-20;
- e) Receipt of Visa Application Fee
- f) Evidence of sufficient funds;
